Police Set Barricades as ‘Days of Rage’ Protesters Target Wall Street (With Some Live Video)
It’ unclear at this hour how many will turn out for the “Days of Rage” protests targeting large banks and the capitalist system.
Left activists have been gathering at meet up points in Manhattan this morning.
A midday rally is scheduled for 12:30 at Bowling Green Park before the more serious focus turns to the Chase bank plaza at 3pm.

Samiam, I would say that yesterday’s protest was very much like all things Obama, a big “Failure.”
Bloomberg had his attack dogs waiting and locked Wall Street down long before these indoctrinated trust fund cowards arrived which was on a Saturday when all businesses are closed and Wall Street is a ghost town.
Occupy Wall Street was a joke from its inception. Bloomberg shut down from Wall Street and Broadway through Broad Street and Exchange Place. In other words, the protesters never got close to its ground zero.
Instead, they had to settle for the bull and Two Broadway which is down the street from the Staten Island ferry and upstairs from the Bowling Green train station.
Say you arrange a protest to take place in front of the White House and instead you end up at the Potomac River.
Same thing. A big “F.”
No doubt, this morning Michael Bloomberg is feeling his oats.

Clearly, the NYPD was not messing around. So the anti-capitalists and comrades and anarchists had to move their march south.
The leftist smorgasbord of a few hundred gathered on the nearby front steps of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. It was here that the Day of Rage protest hit full swing.

Obama to Propose ‘Buffett Rule’ for Millionaires
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is expected to seek a new base tax rate for the wealthy to ensure that millionaires pay at least at the same percentage as middle income taxpayers.
A White House official said the proposal would be included in the president’s proposal for long term deficit reduction that he will announce Monday. The official spoke anonymously because the plan has not been officially announced.
Obama is going to call it the “Buffett Rule” for Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor who has complained that rich people like him pay a smaller share of their income in federal taxes than middle-class taxpayers.
Buffett wrote in a New York Times op-ed piece last month that he and his rich friends “have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly Congress.”
The measure would be in addition to $447 billion in new tax revenue that Obama is seeking to pay for his short-term spending and tax cutting plan to jump start the economy.
