With this administration, everyday should be a National Day of Prayer!

Apostasy n. total desertion of one’s professed principles, faith, or party. —–apostate.

With that word in mind, do you see any similarity with what is happening to this Nation ?

Church’s are drifting away from the teachings of the Bible regarding gays and homosexuals.

They are allowing gays and lesbians to stand at the pulpit and preach to the congregation.

Some are even allowing same sex marriage to take place within the church itself.

bfrdance1

This is an abomination as stated in the Old Testament in the book of Leviticus.

Leviticus chapter 20:13 reads,…

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

That is pretty explicit to me, so why are some churches allowing this ?

Similarly, our military is being attacked!

Not only the ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ debacle, but open attacks on the Chaplains whose duty it is to administer to the troops Christian Principles.

Under the radical liberal progressive tenants that this administration promotes, our Country is being turned upside down.

Our law enforcement agencies have been told to remove any reference to radical Islamists from their training manuals.

The Muslim Brotherhood is embedded in our Government.

May 1, is National Prayer Day

With this administration, everyday should be National Prayer Day until we turn the tide on the direction this Country is headed in.

This has become an apostate Country due directly to the efforts of the present regime.

The Lord judged Sodom and Gomorrah, and I feel that he will judge US too.

Maybe He is doing it right now?

Maybe we are being judged for electing a man that is clearly against this Country’s Principles.

The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave is being decimated right before our eyes.

It’s time to rise up and stop it !

 God help US.

Atheists vs God

Only in America can you find a movement of People who aren’t satisfied with the Freedom they have to Believe or Not Believe, but rather have to go on the attack against the beliefs of others. In my view this is just another Progressive/Liberal attempt to break down the Moral Fiber of America.

myth

Two generations ago something called Secular Humanism began to creep into our Society and our School Systems across the Nation. This along with the re-writing of  American History, a crusade began  in our schools to indoctrinate our children with a God-less and Corrupted philosophy. The simple fact that Laws were enacted to remove Prayer and the teaching of Biblical History and Values from our schools is proof positive of this evil agenda perpetrated by the Socialists living in America.

Evolution has been taught in our Public Schools and Collages as a Theory for some time now.  My question is,  why is not Creation also being taught right along side of Evolution as an equal Theory?  A Higher Power could certainly be introduced in such a way as to not push any one particular Religion or Belief System.

One Solitary Life that Changed the Whole World

Here is a Man who was Born in an Obscure Village, the Child of a Peasant Woman. He grew up in another obscure village where He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He never went to college. He never visited a big city. He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He did none of those things one usually associated with greatness. He had no credentials but himself…

He was only thirty-three when the tide of Public Opinion turned against Him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to His enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While dying, His executioners gambled for his clothing, the only piece of property He had on earth. When He was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the Central Figure of the Human Race and the Leader of mankind’s progress. All the Armies that have ever marched, all the Navies that ever sailed, all the Parliaments that ever sat and all the Kings that ever Reigned put together have not affected the life on earth of mankind as Powerfully as that One Solitary Life.

‘Complete Anarchy’: Famed Pastor Issues Major Wake-Up Call for Christians About the Dire State of American Culture

TheBlaze’s Carly Hoilman contributed to this report.

Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Wa., is on a mission to wake Christians up from the illusion that faith is alive and well in America.

The centerpiece of Driscoll’s new book titled, ”A Call to Resurgence: Will Christianity Have a Funeral or a Future?,” is that we’re living in a “post-Christian culture — a culture fundamentally at odds with faith in Jesus.”

Culture Is Quickly Shifting

The pastor recently told TheBlaze that he believes cultural norms are rapidly shifting in American society and that these changes come at the same time that Christianity is losing its place of prominence.

Pastor Mark Driscoll (Image source: @PastorMark onTwitter)

“A commitment to secularism to pluralism has really come very, very rapidly, and certain issues like gay marriage have accelerated and highlighted that,” Driscoll said. “More biblical, conservative traditions…values have gone from being respected to really despised in very short order.”

Driscoll explained that 40 years ago, homosexuality was still listed in psychological manuals and textbooks as a mental disorder, and now it is considered a civil right. He added, “That’s a quick flip.”

“We are living in a post-Christian culture — a culture fundamentally at odds with faith in Jesus.”

Share:

He believes that there’s been a paradigm shift in society from “morality to personality.”

Rather than moral absolutes governing what’s right or wrong, Driscoll said that there’s a general view that people should be true to themselves — that they should essentially stand by their feelings and desires.

“We’ve shifted from a worldview where there is a God who makes laws, and they apply to you, to whether or not there is a God it does not matter — ‘I don’t recognize any laws external to me. The only thing that guides me is my own internal convictions,’” he said. “Authority has shifted from external to internal, from God to me. And what you end up with is not a discussion of morality but a defense of personality. And that’s the world we live in.”

Driscoll believes that there is “a culture of complete anarchy in the name of tolerance and diversity.”

“One in four women sexual assaulted, one in six men, people that are sexually addicted, sexually assaulted, sexually abused, rampant debt, broken families, suicidal,” he told TheBlaze. “The number one category of prescription medication is antidepressants. Somebody’s gotta stand up and say, ‘This ain’t working — we gotta try something else.’”

One of the Big Questions Facing Christians

One of the big questions facing Christians, the pastor said, is how to peacefully exist in this context of change without compromising values and theology.

“Christians need to understand that Christians and non-Christians just disagree about a lot of things,” he said. “We disagree about where we come from, we disagree about why we’re here, we disagree about what we’re supposed to do, we disagree with what we’re supposed to do with our pots and our pans and our genitals and our wallets — we just disagree on all kinds of things.”

Driscoll went on to say that one of the biggest threats to Christians is the assumption that compromising on what they believe will help them or serve a positive purpose for the non-believers they interact with. Doing this, he said, simply doesn’t work for anyone

With the changing cultural dynamics, Driscoll warned that Christians need to start getting better at understanding suffering and dealing with pushback, as they’re poised to receive more of it.

“In the West we’re not really familiar with suffering [and] Christendom and Christians have tended to be in a position of power, a respected position, and so all the issues surrounding suffering and criticism and such — we’re not very good at that,” he said. “And it’s something we’d better get better at pretty quickly because it’s just going to get harder to stay true to what we believe.”

Driscoll said that it’s becoming increasingly difficult for people to be Bible-believing — and practicing — Christians and that there are “no social perks to being a Christian” in today’s society.

Issues Facing Churches

The decreasing role and reverence for churches is also noticeable, Driscoll said. While houses or worship were once much-respected, today he believes that this dynamic has profoundly changed.

“The churches, for the most part, held a very respected place in society — and if you’re going to be a good business leader, a good citizen, a moral person, well obviously you believe in God and you’re involved in some religious community,” he said. “So what that led to was really a lot of people who weren’t committed to their religious beliefs — they didn’t really live them out — but they would sort of wave the flag because of the social benefits that came with it.”

Driscoll believes the social benefits and connotations the church once offered are decreasing. Being ostracized or marginalized for being in the pews makes it somewhat less appealing to participate in church. While he doesn’t necessarily believe that there are fewer Christians, he said “the teams have gotten very clear.”

“Somebody’s gotta stand up and say, ‘This ain’t working — we gotta try something else.’”

Share:

Fewer of those who went or go to church mainly to bask in these benefits are now doing so and for obvious reasons; the purported benefits are diminishing.

With the changing dynamics, Christians have to find a balance, Driscoll argued. What battles will they choose to fight? Which will they choose to ignore? Of these concerns, Driscoll said, ”You can’t fight over everything, and you’re not very courageous if you won’t fight for anything.”

The pastor said it’s important to decide what’s worth fighting for and then to be prepared to deal with the consequences of speaking out.

Driscoll expounds upon these themes in “A Call to Resurgence: Will Christianity Have a Funeral or a Future?

Hat tip to The Blaze for this report

You’d think the question of adding “atheist chaplains” to the military was put to rest by the House of Representatives, which voted against the controversial proposal several few weeks ago, but the secular humanist lobby is continuing to battle.

This time an atheist college student, Daniel Moran, took to the microphone at a town hall meeting Thursday and asked U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) why he twice voted against the measure.

Instead of shrinking from the student’s pointed question, Burgess had this to say: “Yeah, I thought that was a dumb idea. I’ll do it again.”

The audience erupted in applause and hoots and hollers upon hearing Burgess’ response. One man in the crowd shouted,

There are no atheists in foxholes

But Moran stood his ground, insisted that he knows ROTC students who are atheists, and asked Burgess why a belief in God is necessary for a chaplain.

“If you’re going to have a chaplain, you’ve gotta start somewhere,” Burgess replied, “and that starts at the top with a belief in God…every chaplain that I’ve ever had has started at that point.”

When Moran began arguing back, the audience began to boo and shout “Throw him out!” But Burgess smartly quieted them down and calmly told Moran that he’d never vote against his fundamental beliefs.

The Atheists War on Christianity in America

‘Celebrate Our Godless Constitution’:

Guess Who’s Behind This July 4 Ad Decrying the ‘Myth’ That the U.S. Was Founded on Christianity

The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist activist non-profit, is behind a new full-page newspaper ad that decries the notion that America was founded on Christianity and the Bible. A portion of the contentious text reads, “Celebrate Our Godless Constitution,” and it features the faces and quotes from some of the nation’s most prominent Founding Fathers.

The effort, according to the FFRF’s website, praises the U.S.’s “godless constitution.” Created in response to craft store chain Hobby Lobby’s advertisements about faith in America (the company has posted these in newspapers across the U.S. since 2008), the FFRF ads will certainly spark some controversy.

Photo Credit: Freedom From Religion Foundation

“The ads quote U.S. Founders and Framers on their strong views against religion in government, and often critical views on religion in general,” reads a press release announcing the atheist effort. “The ad features two revolutionaries and Deists, Thomas Paine and Benjamin Franklin, and the first four presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.”

People reading the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times, Chicago Tribune and other daily newspapers across America will likely be surprised when they are greeted with today’s atheist-laden history lesson.

“The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion,” reads one of the quotes (a portion of a treaty that was once signed by John Adams).

“Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other course,” another statement from Washington reads.

And these are just two of the many (see the entire FFRF godless ad).

The Hobby Lobby ad which has sparked the FFRF response takes the opposite stand. Titled “In God We Trust,” it provides quotes showing the Founders’ pro-faith views. Among the quotes and information shared in the text are statements from President George Washington and Patrick Henry.

“It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor,” the nation’s first president is quoted as saying (this comes from from a Thanksgiving proclamation in 1789).

Once again, one side is doubling down in claiming that America’s Christian roots are manufactured, while the other believes wholeheartedly in the Bible’s role in shaping the U.S.

You can Ban Guns, Knives, Sticks and Stones, but you won’t Disarm Evil

hollywood-liberals

Half the firearms in the entire world are in the United States. The rate of murders by gunfire in the United States is almost 20 times higher than the average rate in 22 other populous, high-income countries where the frequency of other crimes is about the same. There is clearly a connection between these two facts, but it is not necessarily simple cause-and-effect.

Here’s one reason to suspect that it’s not that simple: The American rate for murders of all kinds — shooting, strangling, stabbing, poisoning, pushing people under buses, etc. — is seven times higher than it is in those other 22 rich countries.

It can’t just be guns…

(There are over 300 Million Guns  in the United States)

But here’s another interesting statistic: In the past 25 years, the proportion of Americans who own guns has fallen from about one in three to only one in five. However, the United States is a rich country, and the average American gun-owner has four or five firearms.

What has just happened in Sandy Hook, Conn., is the seventh massacre this year in which four or more people were killed by a lone gunman. The fact that this time 20 of the victims were little girls and boys 6 or 7 years old has caused a wave of revulsion in the United States, but it is not likely to lead to new laws on gun controls. It’s not even clear that new laws would help.

Demon-crats Boo God as He is Re-instated into Dem Platform at Convention

With Heavy Booing, Dems Reinstate Jerusalem and God Language into DNC Platform

With heavy booing from dissenters, the Democratic National Convention voted Wednesday to reinstate language supporting Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to restore a reference to God in its party platform.

DNC Chairman and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa conducted a voice vote of the delegates on the proposed platform changes, asking for yeses and nos three times because of how similar the responses sounded. A two-thirds vote was required to adopt the change. Despite clear opposition, Villaraigosa declared the amendment had passed, prompting loud booing.

The changes reinstated language from the 2008 platform that said “we need a government that stands up for the hopes, values and interests of working people and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential” and of Jerusalem, “it is and will remain the capital of Israel.”

According to the Associated Press, President Barack Obama personally intervened to get the platform changed back.

Democrats had been sharply criticized for not including the language, including by fellow party members. Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan said on Fox News that removing the Jerusalem language was “a tragedy” that served to “undermine our nation’s support for Israel.“ Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said omitting God ”suggests a party that is increasingly out of touch with the mainstream of the American people.”

The Jerusalem issue came after the Obama administration’s refusal to say flat-out whether the city is the Jewish state’s capital, then saying it could be through negotiations.

“Mitt Romney has consistently stated his belief that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel,” Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul said in a statement after Wednesday’s vote. “President Obama has repeatedly refused to say the same himself. Now is the time for President Obama to state in unequivocal terms whether or not he believes Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.”

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said reinstating the platform language reflected “the policy of both Republican and Democratic administrations for decades.”

Noor Ul-Hasan, a Muslim delegate from Salt Lake City, Utah, told the Associated Press she felt the language went against the principle of the separation of church and state.

“There are people who don’t believe in God and you have to respect that as well,” Ul-Hasan said. She also questioned the process by which the platform was amended. “There was no discussion. We didn’t even see it coming. We were blindsided by it.”

Angela Urrea, a delegate from Roy, Utah, was similarly dismayed there was no discussion of amending the platform after it was approved Tuesday.

“The majority spoke last night,” Urrae said, noting the platform was approved Tuesday. “We shouldn’t be declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Convention floor erupts as Dems restore references to God, Jerusalem in platform

The floor of the Democratic National Convention erupted Wednesday over a sudden move to restore to the platform a reference to “God” and recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital — after heavy criticism from Republicans for initially omitting them.

Democrats, though, were hardly in agreement over the reversal.

A large and loud group of delegates shouted “no” as convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, called for the vote late Wednesday afternoon. Villaraigosa had to call for the vote three times before ruling that the “ayes” had it. Many in the crowd booed after he determined the language would be restored.

The battle marked the biggest platform fight so far in either party’s convention, and signaled Democrats were worried the prior language could have been politically damaging in a tight election year.

A senior campaign official told Fox News that President Obama personally intervened to change the language in both cases. On the “God” reference, the official said the president’s response was “why did it change in the first place?”

Rep. Sander Levin, D-Mich., told Fox News that he pushed to restore the Jerusalem language.

“I wanted a change (back). I talked to several people close to the president,” Levin said, without saying whether he spoke to the president. “The ’08 platform stated (the policy) correctly … that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel.”

In the section referencing “God,” the change effectively restored language that had been in the 2008 platform. It now says: “We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”

The initial 2012 platform language said this: “We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth — the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”

The change came after both Mitt Romney and GOP running mate Paul Ryan criticized the omission. In an interview with Fox News, Romney said the omission signaled the “party is veering further and further away into an extreme wing that Americans don’t recognize.”

“(That) this party purposely removed God from their platform suggests a party that is increasingly out of touch with the mainstream of the American people,” Romney said. “I see it as being as out of touch and detached.”

Democrats also restored a section on Israel that had previously been left out.  The language on Jerusalem now states “it is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.”

The switch on Jerusalem puts it in line with what advisers said was the president’s personal view, if not the policy of his administration. The administration has long said determining Jerusalem’s status was an issue that should be decided by Israelis and Palestinians in peace talks, but has been careful not to state that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.

The White House wouldn’t say whether the change in the Democratic platform language reflected a change in administration policy.

Republicans argued that not taking a position on Jerusalem’s status in the party platform showed the president was weak in his support of Israel.

“They now say they are not certain what the capital of Israel may be. I think that’s another example of Israel being thrown under the bus by the president,” Romney told Fox News, before the platform revision.

Democrats, when the revision came to a vote, were clearly divided Wednesday over whether to bow to pressure and make the changes.

Some delegates claimed after the vote that the platform change didn’t actually win the two-thirds majority necessary to pass – though it was only gauged by a voice vote.

“The majority of the delegation here at the Democratic National Convention supported the previous language and instead after three attempts to vote and it failed twice, and for whatever reason it still failed but was still pushed through,” said Rashida Tlaib, of the Michigan delegation.

Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, head of the platform committee, downplayed the turnaround. “I wouldn’t call it an error,” he told Fox News. “It was a clarification.”

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in a statement that the changes were made “to maintain consistency with the personal views expressed by the President and in the Democratic Party platform in 2008.”

“Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths,” she said.

She noted administrations of both parties have said the status of Jerusalem should be negotiated by the Israelis and Palestinians.

The floor fight erupted as the speaking program was getting under way on the convention’s second day. Former President Bill Clinton was set to speak Wednesday night, for the formal nomination of Obama.

Romney, meanwhile, kept up the pressure on Democrats from out of state. In the interview with Fox News, he claimed Democrats at the convention were ignoring the question he posed at the Republican convention last week in Tampa – are Americans better off today than they were four years ago? Romney claimed they weren’t. On weekend interviews, Obama surrogates hesitated on the question before eventually claiming the country was better off, though the question has not factored prominently inside the convention arena.

“No one in the convention so far has had the temerity to say that people are better off in America because they realize that’s not the case,” Romney said. “The convention so far is a celebration of failure.”

Fox News’ Carl Cameron, Ed Henry and Chad Pergram and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

ANY QUESTIONS?

America before there were Politically Correct Liberals

To Those of Us Born

1925 – 1970 :
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930s, ’40s, ’50s, ’60s and ’70s!!

First, we survived being born to Mothers who may have smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn’t get tested for diabetes. Then, after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets, and, when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps, not helmets, on our heads.

As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes..

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid  Soda made with real white sugar. And we weren’t overweight.

WHY?

Because we were always outside playing…that’s why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day and, we were OKAY..

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes.. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Play Stations, Nintendo and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVDs, no surround-sound or CDs, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits from those accidents.

We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping-pong paddles, or just a bare hand, and no one would call child services to report abuse.

We ate worms, and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls, and although we were told it would happen- we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.

Those who didn’t had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These Generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers, and inventors ever.

The past 50 to 85 years have seen an explosion of innovation and new ideas..

We had Freedom, Failure, Success and Responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If you are one of those born
Between 1925-1970, CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the Lawyers and the Government Regulated so much of our lives for our own good.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn’t it ?
