I don’t think we’re in America anymore Toto?

not-in-america-any-more

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers” getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time.

We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together.

Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone
party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don’t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam. We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag.

We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, America, and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America.

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the “Hope and Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype and Lies.”
You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don’t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 did it again in 2012 and are now having buyer’s remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the ‘Kool-Aid again and again. It’s time you folks Sobered Up!

Now you’re paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.

This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don’t worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2014 we are going to begin to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we’re going, and in 2016 we’re going to the polls by the millions.

This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to “We the People” and “We the People” plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren.

So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the “Grey-Haired Brigade.”

Just how Green was that Older Generation?

535845_618601594835542_1802133496_n

How Wasteful the Older Generation Was !

In the line at the store, the cashier told the older woman that she should bring her own grocery bag because plastic bags weren’t good for the environment. The woman apologized to him
and explained,

“We didn’t have the green thing back in my day!

The clerk responded, “That’s our problem today. The former generation did not care enough to save our environment.”

He was right, that generation didn’t have the green thing in its day.

Back then, they returned their milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were Recycled.

But they didn’t have the green thing back in that customer’s day. In her day, they walked up stairs, because they didn’t have an escalator in every store and office building.

They walked to the grocery store and didn’t climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time they had to go two blocks.

But she was right. They didn’t have the green thing in her day. Back then, they washed the baby’s diapers because they didn’t have the throw-away kind. They dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts – wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

But that old lady is right, they didn’t have the green thing back in her day.

Back then, they had one TV, or radio, in the house – not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a hankerchief, not a screen the size of the state of Montana. In the kitchen, they blended and stirred by hand because they didn’t have electric machines to do everything for you. When they packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, they used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.

Back then, they didn’t fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. They used a push mower that ran on human power. They exercised by working so they didn’t need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

But she’s right, they didn’t have the green thing back then.

They drank from a fountain when they were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time they had a drink of water.

They refilled their writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and they replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

But, they didn’t have the green thing back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or rode the school bus instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service.

They had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances.

And they didn’t need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.

But isn’t it sad the current generation laments how wasteful the old folks were just because they didn’t have the green thing back then?

America before there were Politically Correct Liberals

To Those of Us Born

1925 – 1970 :
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930s, ’40s, ’50s, ’60s and ’70s!!

First, we survived being born to Mothers who may have smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn’t get tested for diabetes. Then, after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets, and, when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps, not helmets, on our heads.

As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes..

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid  Soda made with real white sugar. And we weren’t overweight.

WHY?

Because we were always outside playing…that’s why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day and, we were OKAY..

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes.. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Play Stations, Nintendo and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVDs, no surround-sound or CDs, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits from those accidents.

We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping-pong paddles, or just a bare hand, and no one would call child services to report abuse.

We ate worms, and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls, and although we were told it would happen- we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.

Those who didn’t had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These Generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers, and inventors ever.

The past 50 to 85 years have seen an explosion of innovation and new ideas..

We had Freedom, Failure, Success and Responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If you are one of those born
Between 1925-1970, CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the Lawyers and the Government Regulated so much of our lives for our own good.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn’t it ?

The Quote of the Month

By Jay Leno:

“With Hurricanes, Tornados, Fires out of Control, Mud Slides, Flooding, Severe Thunderstorms tearing up the Country from one end to another, and with the threat of Bird Flu and Terrorist Attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?”

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us…go ahead and move on to Obama’s World

Besides, your probably a Liberal

Some Clarity on Obama Motivations for those who are still in Shock

by usamutt:

As I read the curiosities of folks concerning Obama’s actions I am continually amazed at the surprise
and horror that folks arrive at for their observations.

Didn’t you all know the direction of Obama as he said them before he was elected?

Did you not realize his thinking hinged on the fact that he didn’t think that the constitution favored the power of the
federal government enough?  You didn’t know that fact?

He said clearly he thought the constitutions protection of individual liberty was in need of change that sided towards government authority.

Why do you suppose he wanted these changes?  Well that is simple enough, he wanted more power for wealth redistribution.
What did you think that meant?

What you don’t clearly see for what is coming is the removal of liberty from individuals by taking power in the machinery of the federal government moves us closer to a one world governance.  Doesn’t this make sense?

When you see our wealth going to third world nations don’t you realize that our control is lowered while the third world nation is elevated?

When you see a diminishing of or military does it occur to you that it becomes easier for us to be subjugated to others’ will?

Oh wait I see why it is you haven’t come to know this:  You digest what the media wants you to know.

Don’t you realize that the media who sold us Obama is interested in broadcasting to more viewers.  If they go from a national broadcasting position to an international position what happens?  More ratings and more money!

Obama would love for nothing more than to deliver the authority of te US Government to a Global Authority where he and his cronies could control the world.

None of this makes sense to you?  Why does the Obama Administration want to undo, both the first and second amendments of the constitution?

He wants to get rid of God and Guns… Isn’t that clear?  Without God’s authority he becomes God.  Without guns nobody stands in his way.

Did Americans go to sleep one night and wake up critically thinking challenged?  When did it become a good idea to participate in something like #OWS.

Those desiring what Obama intended to do are clearly dangerous people because of their weak-minded manner of understanding the responsibility of freedom.

Who in their right mind thinks Obama has any clue as how to meet a payroll?  Since when did a community organizer understand and master the intricacies of profitable investing?

Since when did a non practicing lawyer ever be a good choice for a capital defense argument.

Most folks who wanted Obama, wanted him because they didn’t use their critical thinking apparatus.

What they did use is their desire function or emotive need.

I have no time for folks that demand fairness in governance.  I value equal opportunity, not affirmative action.

If you are surprised at what Obama has been doing, then maybe the problem isn’t Obama.

He has done all he said he was going to do.

Maybe the problem is you and your habits of listening to the whores in media that want greater profits worldwide for selling you the biggest package of nonsense sold since the days of the wonder lotions pimped in the old days of western frontier days.

I knew what Obama was all about and he hasn’t surprised me one bit. Self proclaimed smart Americans have surprised me though.  I don’t consider anyone to be smart who sided with Utopian thinking or the motivations of Obama.

It is Time to Wake Up America and Vote this Bum Out!

If you Voted for Obama in 2008 to Prove your not a Racist your going to have to Vote for Someone Else in 2012 to Prove your not an Idiot

Shocking as this might sound, there are still some out there who might Vote a Second Time for the Liar in Chief.

I think  Jack Nicholson said it best…..

You can’t handle the Truth

If you happen to be one of those who still can’t handle the Truth after all that you have seen these past Two and a Half Years well then there really is no hope for you ‘cept the False Hope Promised you by the Anointed One.

As Obama kicks off his Campaign for a Second Term as  your President Dictator we can expect to see a replay of the 2008  Campaign with even more of the same ole Attack Dog Rhetoric we have seen and heard these past three or so years.  The whiny Democrats have already begun their exaggerated claims of Grandma and Grandpa starving out in the cold or being pushed off a Cliff while in a Wheel Chair and on and on it goes.  Fact is,  many of US Americans have seen through all the Deceptions and some have admitted the error of their ways in Voting for Obama in 2008.  They are the Wiser now and won’t make the Same Mistake Twice.  Common Sense shall prevail in America and Obama is on course to go down as the President who Suffered the Greatest Defeat of any American President in our Proud History of Rising from the Ashes of Oppression.

By the way,  remember those Grandma’s and Grandpa’s I mentioned earlier?  Well, they are the Baby Boomers! That’s right, and there are a lot of US that are going to Vote.

TYRANNY ALERT: Communist Party USA Endorses Barack Obama for 2012

Communist Party Endorses Obama For 2012

By Aaron Klein, World Net Daily

It may be early in the campaign season, but the Communist Party USA already has seen fit to endorse Barack Obama for the 2012 election.

While noting he is disappointed with “some aspects” of the Obama administration’s domestic and foreign policy, Sam Webb, chairman of the Communist Party USA, threw his support behind Obama’s re-election bid. Read more: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=329449#ixzz1U9BOdEiV

Have you felt it yet ?

Can you not see nor smell the stench of Oppression as America falls within its grip?  Little by little and day by day America is falling deeper and deeper into the abyss of  Socialist Marxism.  An American financial collapse will all but seal our fate and it is obvious this President and the Progressive Liberals in our Government are determined to destroy our Capitalistic way of life come hell or high water.  The question remains, what will you do America?

American Unions and The Communist Party USA are Marching in Solidarity

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) is a Marxist-Leninist political party in the United States, established in 1919. As the chief official communist party in the USA for most of the 20th century, it has a long, complex history that is often inter-layered with the simultaneous histories of similar communist parties worldwide, as well as with the U.S. labor movement generallyClick on the link to read the rest of the Article:

As we watch our Stock Market tumble and see our Dollar lose its value what else can one expect short of disaster.  We have been set up to take a fall America and the sooner we wake up the sooner we can begin to turn this tide of events.  Americans need to be standing up and speaking out now.  Time is of the essence as 2012 approaches and America can no longer afford the luxury of indifference.  What will you do America?  What will you do?

Never in my Wildest Dreams did I think I would be spending my Retirement Years fighting Communism within Our Own Government!

ATTENTION all Korean and Vietnam Veterans!

You fought bravely and sacrificed much to stop the expansion of Communism in South East Asia. How can it be that we find ourselves fighting it once more and this time,

In Our Own Country!

How is it that we missed all the warning signs and ignored those who tried to warn us of what was happening in Our America?

From Paul Revere to President Ronald Reagan there have always been Great Patriots who stood tall to warn us.

Today we find ourselves in disbelief as Our Own President try’s to destroy our Country from within.

Make no mistake about it, much of this Congress and Our President Obama are confirmed Socialist/Marxists/COMMUNISTS bent on taking away our personal Freedoms and Liberties and turning this Great Nation into nothing more than a THIRD WORLD satelite of Communist China and Russia. The hand writing is on the Wall for all who are willing to see.

In this War my Fellow Veterans, we will Win in the Voting Booths of America and not with Violence and Blood.

While we are still Free to Vote, we need to come out in Great Numbers and kick to the curb these Communist Infiltrators that have Infected Our Country with the Cancer of Corruption.

America became and still is the Greatest Nation the World has ever known because of Our Common Christian/Judeo values and beliefs. For your Children and Grandchildren I plead with you to please take up the fight and get involved…NOW.

Stand Up

Speak Out

and by all means Vote come 2012
