Tests conducted on the Shroud of Turin by researchers at Italy’s University of Padua indicate that the linen sheet believed by some to be Christ‘s burial cloth dates back to Jesus’ lifetime.
The 14-foot-long cloth bearing the image of a man with wounds similar to those suffered by Christ was analyzed by university scientists using infrared light, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The research linking the shroud to between 280 B.C. and A.D. 220 was published in book by Giulio Fanti, a professor at Padua University, and journalist Saverio Gaeta.
Fanti, a Catholic, told the Telegraph that the results were based on 15 years of research on fibers taken from the cloth, which were subjected to radiation intensity tests.
Fanti told the paper he rejects the conclusion of carbon dating tests conducted in 1988 that bolstered the theory the shroud was made in the 13th or 14th century in a medieval forgery.
Those results, Fanti said, were “false” because of laboratory contamination, the Telegraph reported.
The Vatican has never confirmed the authenticity of the shroud, but a Vatican researcher in 2009 said that faint writing on the cloth proves it was used to wrap Jesus’ body after his crucifixion.
The cloth is presently housed in Turin Cathedral in northwest Italy.
I remember a simpler time in America not so long ago when we as a people had a common respect and reverence for our rich Heritage and Traditions. Americans began to enjoy the Fruits of their Labor and worked hard to live a better life. We moved to the Suburbs and began to enjoy the luxuries afforded us by our own prosperity. Soon we found ourselves preoccupied with the cares of our success and buried ourselves in our technology to the point with which we forgot who we were and began living life as a video game escaping the realities of the World around us. Not wanting to leave anyone behind we struggle to bring equality to all in the form of Social Justice only to find ourselves allowing the few to rule the many. Our success caused us to have such a belief in ourselves that we soon found our need for God beginning to diminish in our daily lives. We allowed our Schools to take from us our Parental Rights and gave them the power to teach our children those things which defied the natural order of our traditional family values.
We have produced a new generation of Americans that are now Selfless, Godless, and Morally Decayed. We have only ourselves to blame and reversing this trend is rapidly becoming the new Epic Battle for which America must fight.
America, Your Too Young To Die
Stand up America and fight for what is right. Stand up and let your voice be heard. Unless we reverse this Progressive Socialism that has gripped our Country all might be lost and we may find ourselves facing a thousand years of darkness.
Yet again, President Obama’s Thanksgiving message eschewed any direct reference to thanking God, making this the fourth straight year in which the President of the United States has ignored the central message of the holiday in favor of political grandstanding.
This year, Obama’s central message was that now that he’s been re-elected, Americans should agree with all of his policies. His unity routine sounds strangely empty after a campaign in which he focused on dividing Americans:
But most of all, it’s a time to give thanks for each other, and for the incredible bounty we enjoy.
That’s especially important this year. As a nation, we’ve just emerged from a campaign season that was passionate, noisy, and vital to our democracy. But it also required us to make choices – and sometimes those choices led us to focus on what sets us apart instead of what ties us together; on what candidate we support instead of what country we belong to ….
We’re also grateful that this country has always been home to Americans who see these blessings not simply as gifts to enjoy, but as opportunities to give back. Americans who believe we have a responsibility to look out for those less fortunate – to pull each other up and move forward together.
How are we supposed to move forward together, you ask? Why, with greater government spending, of course!
As for God, here was the only mention – as a throwaway line in a hackneyed aphorism, used constantly by this president for communitarian sloganeering:
As Americans, we are a bold, generous, big-hearted people. When our brothers and sisters are in need, we roll up our sleeves and get to work – not for the recognition or the reward, but because it’s the right thing to do. Because there but for the grace of God go I. And because here in America, we rise or fall together, as one nation and one people.
No mention of thanking God. None.
But, of course, we’re used to this. In 2011, there was no mention of God at all. In 2010, Obama was closer, but still missed the mark (“we’ll spend some time taking stock of what we’re thankful for: the God-given bounty of America, and the blessings of one another”). In 2009, Obama didn’t thank God, either.
Compare that to Obama’s Thanksgiving Dayproclamations, which he does not read or speak. Those are filled with God – at least for the last three years. In his first year, filled with the vim and vigor of his original election, Obama preferred to eschew any direct thanking of God even in his proclamation.
2012: “On Thanksgiving Day, individuals from all walks of life come together to celebrate this most American tradition, grateful for the blessings of family, community, and country. Let us spend this day by lifting up those we love, mindful of the grace bestowed upon us by God and by all who have made our lives richer with their presence.”
2011: “As we gather in our communities and in our homes, around the table or near the hearth, we give thanks to each other and to God for the many kindnesses and comforts that grace our lives. Let us pause to recount the simple gifts that sustain us, and resolve to pay them forward in the year to come.”
2010: “As Americans gather for the time-honored Thanksgiving Day meal, let us rejoice in the abundance that graces our tables, in the simple gifts that mark our days, in the loved ones who enrich our lives, and in the gifts of a gracious God.”
Of course, nobody sees these proclamations, so Obama doesn’t have to be embarrassed about them.
It’s no wonder that this President’s Democratic National Committee platform tried to remove God. He’s not a big fan of the Big Guy. Even on Thanksgiving. After all, what need do you have for God when you’ve got the state?
Oh, this is just rich (no pun intended…ok, I admit it, pun intended)! Only the O’s have increased their wealth by TEN TIMES in the last four years!!!! They stared as millionaires and are now millionaires ten times over. And they lambast RICH people? Wanna know why? Because their wealth doesn’t come from being a BUSINESS OWNER, it comes from their POLITICS. Victim politics. Race politics. Hate politics. And politics of DIVISION- ALL of it made them rich- even Obama’s victim biographies were about politics. They don’t hate rich people (au contraire!) They just hate business people. The medium & little ones. From the very wealthy ones, they will soak up every penny.
So they have zero appreciation for the way the nation NEEDS to make money. At least if the nation actually wants to have a prosperous People as well as a prosperous upper crust. We need BUSINESS, Innovation and SELF SUFFICIENCY. There is NO BETTER or more EFFICIENT way to distribute resources than via the family unit. If each family can take care of the resources it needs, the government’s job got a ton easier. The day the family is broken, the day the best, most efficient resource distribution system known to man is broken. Families are under attack in the Dem. National Platform- the most blatant attack being the homosexual revolution, divorce and children out of wedlock. All of which is being encouraged by the DEM platform. One must truly ask why?
Ah, there IS an answer and we have seen it played out over and over again via socialism & communism the world over. Observe.
“It’s ALL good,” right? That is about my most hated phrase in pop culture today. It’s NOT all good! If it were, we sure wouldn’t need the Bible, God or Jesus, now would we? Divorce is NOT good. Abortion is NOT good. Homosexuality is NOT good. Children out of wedlock is NOT good. And complete sexual immorality is NOT good. It all goes against what God would have us do. Therefore, none of it is good. By definition.
The most pragmatic way to put it is that when we disobey God in our cultural lives, we get disaster. Very real disaster. Sexual immorality in a culture leads to broken families. Broken families lead to poor families and completely dysfunctional families. You get not only financial ruin or hardship, but huge emotional and mental hardship as well. And this dysfunction is passed onto the next generation. And again and again. Only each time, the problem grows exponentially. Cause the dysfunctional are pumping out the kids in an ever degrading situation. Until the dysfunction permeates the culture. And you end up with a People who can’t take care of themselves. And they need….who? They need… what?
Oh, you guessed it. THE GOVERNMENT. Or, at least they are vulnerable to that idea. Freedom looks pretty frightening to a 16 year old with a baby. Freedom to starve. Freedom to feel like a loser? Freedom to be homeless? Despised? Who wants THAT kind of freedom, People? No one! The crop is ready for picking!
So here comes the BIG GOVERNMENT in the form of Big Daddy. With a fistful of dollars and a promise for more. AND with a nice, convenient way out for you- you don’t need to recognize that you made a mistake. That you should have KNOWN the man more before you allowed him such access to your body. Or even better, made sure he loved you by waiting for that ring before you slept with him. NO, declares the Progressive Platform, you did nothing wrong and have nothing to regret. In fact, it’s the opposite. It’s RICH PEOPLE’S fault. It’s CHRISTIANS’ fault. It’s WHITE people’s fault. So, here’s their money (that they owed you) and please join us in condemning them and their disgusting judgment. Their moralizing. Their lecturing. In fact, we HATE them, don’t we? So let’s get rid of them and we will all be much happier…
Now, my friends, THAT is a powerful temptation, is it not? Why do you think evil people like Hugo Chavez could win his first democratic election? Because he tempted the poor in his country in this very way. Since then, he has suspended all free elections and has installed a pure sham- unsurprisingly, the guys wins every time now…. And the people are still as poor as they were when he got there. Only now, the ENTIRE country’s businesses are destroyed, along with their infrastructure. But Chavez? Like Obama, HE and his friends are filthy rich.
I can just see the two of them smoking cigars in their Panama Hats. I can see their wives with them, with their tropical drinks getting their toenails done by the local peasants. And what do I see they are talking about? I see them laughing. Big, hearty laughter. About how they got rich making everyone else hate rich people.
Dems Remove All References to ‘God’ From 2012 Party Platform
The Democratic Party may be getting a fair amount of attention this week — and not only because the political movement is hosting its national convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Another point of focus has already been the contents — or the lack thereof — present in the 2012 Democratic Party Platform.
Earlier today, we told you that the document fails to mention Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a proclamation that was previously touted by the party. And now, in an even more shocking revelation, CBN News is reporting that the Democrats have removed mentions of “God” from the document as well.
This is a departure from the past. In 2008, the platform read (emphasis added), “We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
With the words “God-given” removed, the 2012 platform sticks to a more secular script: “We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”
In the end, the Democratic platform doesn’t mention the words “God” or “Lord” even one time. In contrast, the GOP platform mentions God 12 times. A simple comparison to past years’ platforms shows a disparity. In 2008, the Democrats had only one mention (the aforementioned ”God-given”), but in 2004, God was mentioned seven times.
But, as CBN’s David Brody notes, the Democratic document isn’t entirely devoid of religious sentiment. A portion discusses the notion that faith has always “been a central part of the American story, and it has been a driving force of progress and justice throughout our history.”
Below, read the remainder of the Democratic platform’s views on faith:
“We know that our nation, our communities, and our lives are made vastly stronger and richer by faith and the countless acts of justice and mercy it inspires. Faith-based organizations will always be critical allies in meeting the challenges that face our nation and our world – from domestic and global poverty, to climate change and human trafficking.
People of faith and religious organizations do amazing work in communities across this country and the world, and we believe in lifting up and valuing that good work, and finding ways to support it where possible. We believe in constitutionally sound, evidence-based partnerships with faith-based and other non-profit organizations to serve those in need and advance our shared interests. There is no conflict between supporting faith-based institutions and respecting our Constitution, and a full commitment to both principles is essential for the continued flourishing of both faith and country.”
While faith communities being given credit for embracing “justice and mercy,” it’s quite odd to see that the word “God” — a central tenet in most areas of American life, including the political, is absent.
Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital, heard a Muslim orchestra, seen a Muslim band march in a parade, witnessed a Muslim charity, shaken hands with a Muslim Girl Scout, seen a Muslim Candy Striper, or seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life ????
In a brief post on his Facebook page, West said Sunday’s results were reminiscent of the 1979 Iranian revolution that saw Islamists installed as leaders of the country.
“A year ago there were those of us who warned the Obama administration of a Muslim Brotherhood takeover in Egypt,” West wrote. “We were castigated as alarmists and loose cannons. Today our predictions have come to reality and the ominous specter reminding us of the Iranian revolution is evident.”
Calling the Arab Spring “nothing more than a radical Islamic nightmare,” West said the U.S. needs to “unequivocally reiterate” its support to Coptic Christians in the region and to Israel.
“What an incredible foreign policy faux pas by the second coming of President Jimmy Carter, the Obama administration,” West said. “I call upon President Barack Obama to cut off American foreign aid to Egypt, denounce the results of this election, repudiate the Muslim Brotherhood, and all radical Islamist political entities.
Did Muslims fight for this country’s freedom from England?
No.
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America?
No, they did not.
In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery.
Your own half-brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as “pug nosed slaves.”
Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family’s “rich Islamic heritage,” doesn’t it Mr. Obama?
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country?
Not present.
There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.
Where were Muslims during this country’s Woman’s Suffrage era?
Again, not present.
In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the ‘hajib’ or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband.
Yep, the Muslims are all for women’s rights, aren’t they?
The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi’s in killing Jews.
Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001?
If they weren’t flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East. No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day.
Strangely, the very “moderate” Muslims who’s asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11.
To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.

Painting of Obama Trampling Constitution Resurfaces, Artist‘s New Work Tells ’Enslaved‘ Americans to ’Wake Up!’
Some may already be familiar with the image featured above. For those who aren’t, it is painting titled “The Forgotten Man” which features President Obama trampling on the Constitution while an astonished James Madison pleads with him to stop. To the side, a man sits on a park bench in the throes of depression while 43 presidents look on. The painting, which uses discarded dollar bills and scraps of paper with individual constitutional amendments scrawled onto them.
The Blaze first reported on artist Jon McNaughton’s controversial rendition back in 2010 when the artwork was released. Now, however, McNauughton’s Forgotten Man has resurfaced and is making its rounds across the internet again after appearing on Rachel Maddow’s blog on Thursday.
In a video that accompanied The Forgotten Man’s release, the politically charged McNaughton revealed, “For a long time I didn’t know if I wanted to paint this picture, because I worried it might be too controversial.”
He explained that the man on the park bench “represents every man, woman, and child who is an American“ and who ”hopes to find the American dream of happiness and prosperity.” The artist added, “But now because of unconstitutional acts imposed on the American people by our government we stand on the precipice of disasters.”
The artists’ work can be found at McNaughton Fine Art (though the site appeared to be down, at least temporarily on Friday evening) and on his Facebook Page. A search of McNaughton’s postings on Facebook reveal a number of paintings with strong political and religious themes including another provocative work released in October 2011 titled “Wake Up America.” The image features Obama smiling on the stump while shackled Americans gather around him.
