Shroud of Turin not a Forgery: Using Digital Imagery Science gives us a look at the face of Jesus

New research suggests Shroud of Turin dates to Jesus’ era

Tests conducted on the Shroud of Turin by researchers at Italy’s University of Padua indicate that the linen sheet believed by some to be Christ‘s burial cloth dates back to Jesus’ lifetime.

The 14-foot-long cloth bearing the image of a man with wounds similar to those suffered by Christ was analyzed by university scientists using infrared light, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The research linking the shroud to between 280 B.C. and A.D. 220 was published in book by Giulio Fanti, a professor at Padua University, and journalist Saverio Gaeta.

Fanti, a Catholic, told the Telegraph that the results were based on 15 years of research on fibers taken from the cloth, which were subjected to radiation intensity tests.

Fanti told the paper he rejects the conclusion of carbon dating tests conducted in 1988 that bolstered the theory the shroud was made in the 13th or 14th century in a medieval forgery.

Those results, Fanti said, were “false” because of laboratory contamination, the Telegraph reported.

The Vatican has never confirmed the authenticity of the shroud, but a Vatican researcher in 2009 said that faint writing on the cloth proves it was used to wrap Jesus’ body after his crucifixion.

The cloth is presently housed in Turin Cathedral in northwest Italy.

He’s Alive and I’m Forgiven Heavens Gates are Open Wide

John 3:16

He died for You and Me…..

One Solitary Life

Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another obscure village where He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He never went to college. He never visited a big city. He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where he was born. He did none of those things one usually associated with greatness. He had no credentials but himself…

He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing, the only piece of property he had on earth. When he was dead, he was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race and the leader of mankind’s progress. All the armies that have ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned put together have not affected the life on earth of mankind as powerfully as that one solitary life.

Atheists Gather at National Mall for First Ever “Reason Rally” against a God whom they say does not Exist! Huh?

Ya just can’t make this stuff up folks.  Atheists are just plain determined to remove a God whom they say does not exist from every area of American Life. Perhaps the most Intelligent Man of our Century could shed some “Light” on this subject for us:

Perhaps the Atheists are Worshiping the God of Charles Darwin but haven’t “Reasoned” that out for themselves as yet?

Let’s take a moment and hear it from Albert Einstein in his own words shall we:

For me personally I did not need Albert Einstein to convince me of the Existence of God.

Faith Comes by Hearing and that by Hearing the Word of God

God said it, I believe it, and that Settles it!

ANY QUESTIONS?

Waterboarding Works – Osama Bin Laden is Dead

The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. -Thomas Jefferson

Who are the Criminals and who is the Government?

We now know that Waterboarding played a key part in bringing down Bin Laden so maybe it is time to find out who the Terrorists are in Our own Government.

Socialism began to take root in America about 100 years ago and began to slowly creep into the American Physique as a harmless yet beneficial way to bring about Social Justice for all. Sadly, nothing could be further from the truth. We know them as modern-day Liberals, or Progressives if you will. They change names once the current name is exposed for what it really is, Marxist/Communism. We have all seen the living conditions of people who live under such tyrannical rule and we have watched as the Socialistic Countries of Europe erupt into violent riots over the failed policies of Socialism. Here in America it is different as we are a Capitalistic Country enjoying unlimited opportunity for wealth and the American Dream. America’s Greatness sprang forth because of our Christian Values and Ideals so Socialism although having taken root here cannot prosper. There are just too many rational thinking Christian Americans living in this Great Land to ever let Socialism take hold and destroy Our Way of Life.

We are Americans  Free to speak without fear, Free to Worship in Our own way, Free to Stand for what We think Right, Free to Oppose what We believe Wrong, and Free to Choose those who shall Govern Our Country.

This Heritage of Freedom We Pledge to Uphold

The End of Socialism began here on November 2nd 2010 and will see its ultimate demise come 2012

Andy Rooney on Christianity in America

Christianity Under Attack U.S.A.

I don’t believe in Santa Claus, but I’m not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December.  I don’t agree with Darwin , but I didn’t go out and hire a lawyer when my high school  teacher taught his Theory of Evolution.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a  30-second prayer before a football game. So what’s the big deal?  It’s not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts.  They’re just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
But it’s a Christian prayer,  some will argue.

Yes, and this is the United States of America and Canada , countries founded on Christian principles.  According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1.  So what would you expect — somebody chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem , I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in   Baghdad , I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a ping pong match in China ,  I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn’t be offended. It wouldn’t bother me one bit.
When in Rome   …..

But what about the atheists? Is another argument.
What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized.  We’re not going to pass the collection plate. Just humour us for 30 seconds.   If that’s asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs.  Go to the bathroom.  Visit the concession stand.  Call your lawyer!

Unfortunately, one or two will make that call.  One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don’t think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world’s  foundations.
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of  all our rights.  Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing.  Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.

God, help us.  And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long.  It’s time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn’t care what they want.

It is time that the majority rules!   It’s time we tell them, “You don’t have to pray; you don’t have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don’t have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him.  That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away.

We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!”
God bless us one and all…Especially those who denounce Him, God bless America and Canada , despite all our faults, We are still the greatest nations of all. God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.

Let’s make 2011 the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions and our military forces come home from all the wars.

Keep looking up.

What will You do with Jesus?

Fibonacci Numbers- The Fingerprint of God

Atheists are always asking me for proof there is a God.  God says none will be given but rather a person must come to Him through Faith.

Perhaps He left us a fingerprint to help us find our Faith and the ability to Believe.

Kinda makes ya think don’t it?

I have always believed in God without proof, but when I see things like this, hear them, read them, study them, it just confirms my beliefs and the awesome wonders of God yet to be unravelled. It is harder not to believe in God than it is to believe in Him who created us. I pray for the doubting Thomas’s and athiests that they all come to know the glorious wonders of our God, our creator, and my Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Pastor Jones, why did you burn that Koran?

Afghanistan Koran Burning Protests Rage On for Third Day

A government spokesman said one had been killed and 16 were injured in a new Koran burning protest in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar Sunday, where hundreds took to the streets to demonstrate for a third consecutive day.

Hundreds also blocked off a highway for three hours in Jalalabad city, shouting for U.S. troops to leave and burned an effigy of President Obama.

A similar protest in eastern Parwan province blocked a main highway with burning tires for about an hour, with more than 1,000 people protesting against the desecration of the Koran, said provincial police chief Sher Ahmad Maladani. He said there was no violence.

Meanwhile, the Taliban called on people to rise up, blaming government forces for any violence that did occur.

The Taliban said in a statement emailed to media outlets that the U.S. and other Western countries have wrongly excused the burning a Koran by the pastor of a Florida church on March 20 as freedom of speech and that Afghans “cannot accept this un-Islamic act.”

The desecration at a small U.S. church has outraged Muslims worldwide, and in Afghanistan many of the demonstrations have turned into deadly riots. Protests in the north and south in recent days have killed 20 people.

Please pray for all those Innocent Victims and  Our Brave  Military Men and Women who are  Serving in that region of the world.  They have now been placed in even greater danger than before.

Pastor Jones,  just what exactly did you accomplish?
