The Atheist War on Christmas and Religious Freedom

Atheists vs God

Only in America can you find a movement of People who aren’t satisfied with the Freedom they have to Believe or Not Believe, but rather have to go on the attack against the beliefs of others. In my view this is just another Progressive/Liberal attempt to break down the Moral Fiber of America.

myth

Two generations ago something called Secular Humanism began to creep into our Society and our School Systems across the Nation. This along with the re-writing of  American History, a crusade began  in our schools to indoctrinate our children with a God-less and Corrupted philosophy. The simple fact that Laws were enacted to remove Prayer and the teaching of Biblical History and Values from our schools is proof positive of this evil agenda perpetrated by the Socialists living in America.

Behold the God of the Atheist

charles-darwinCharles Darwin

Evolution has been taught in our Public Schools and Collages as a Theory for some time now.  My question is,  why is not Creation also being taught right along side of Evolution as an equal Theory?  A Higher Power could certainly be introduced in such a way as to not push any one particular Religion or Belief System.

One Solitary Life that Changed the Whole World

Here is a Man who was Born in an Obscure Village, the Child of a Peasant Woman. He grew up in another obscure village where He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He never went to college. He never visited a big city. He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He did none of those things one usually associated with greatness. He had no credentials but himself…

He was only thirty-three when the tide of Public Opinion turned against Him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to His enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While dying, His executioners gambled for his clothing, the only piece of property He had on earth. When He was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the Central Figure of the Human Race and the Leader of mankind’s progress. All the Armies that have ever marched, all the Navies that ever sailed, all the Parliaments that ever sat and all the Kings that ever Reigned put together have not affected the life on earth of mankind as Powerfully as that One Solitary Life.

(Here is an excerpt about this Video I found at: The Blaze)

Ray Comfort spoke with leading evolutionary scientists from major universities: Peter Nonacs, a professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at UCLA, Craig Stanford, professor of biological sciences and anthropology at USC, PZ Myers, associate professor of biology at University of Minnesota Morris and Gail E. Kennedy, associate professor of anthropology at UCLA.

The Christian leader, who founded evangelical outreach groups Way of the Master and Living Waters, described going directly to these scientists and asking them questions about the evidence that exists for evolution — proof that Comfort believes is sparse and unreliable.

My Enlightening Encounter at the County Fair

2010839-portrait-of-the-elderly-woman-on-the-park-bench

Yesterday I went to the County Fair with my oldest son and his family to enjoy a day watching the grand children’s wide eyed excitement of the wonders to be seen at a County Fair.  After a few hours of walking the grounds and taking in the sights and sounds of this wonderful event I decided to take a break on a park bench where I sat next to a senior lady who seemed to have the same idea as me.

What happened next will remain etched in my mind for the rest of my days.

Shortly after taking a seat at the opposite end of the park bench this this soft spoken lady turned to me and said, I enjoy just sitting here people watching these days but I can’t help but notice very few are smiling as they walk by.  She then asked if I have noticed the same thing to which I replied, yes I do, I see it also.  She then continued on to say it is as if they know something very bad is about to happen and they are not quite sure what. Again I replied, I see it too.

After a short pause she turned to me and said the America you and I once knew is lost and a terrible time is about to befall us all.

These people walking by can feel it but you and I have lived long enough to know what is happening.  She then asked, are you a Christian?  I replied that I was and that I too know what is about to happen.  She smiled softly and went on to say it is too late to turn back the hands of time.

The American people have fallen for a great deception and walk about refusing to believe that a great evil has taken hold of our country.

Somewhat taken back by this whole conversation I could not help but ask what she was planning to do about it.  She simply replied that she had thought about becoming a ‘Prepper’ but soon realized that in today’s age of technology there was no longer any way to escape the government scrutiny of our lives.

She then went on to tell me a short story about an experience she had using her lap top. She stated that her lap top had a built in camera on it that she never used and how one day when she stepped away from her lap top for a short while she returned to find a picture of herself on the screen that was taken while working on her lap top.  Her computer had been locked and a message read that she had downloaded sensitive materials and that her computer has been seized until she contacted the government agency at the number provided. As it turned out it was a hacker who froze her computer and demanded a  payment of $250.00 to release her computer.  She contacted the manufacturer of her computer and they were able to unfreeze her computer for a small charge after which she immediately taped over the camera lens on her computer.

What concerned her the most about this episode was the thought that if a hacker could do this then imagine what our government could do.

The Lord’s return is upon us my friend she said with a smile of relief and I pray that you and your loved ones are ready.  I said that we were and wished the same upon her and her family.  She replied that they were and yet grieved for all those who have been so deceived by a society that has turned their backs on God for those earthly pleasures that will soon be gone.  With that she rose up, turned and bid me farewell.

There was so much more to this conversation that I would have filled up pages upon pages with her insights. I walked away from that conversation knowing that we are not alone in what we are all feeling these days.

It is not often in this life when we cross paths with like minded individuals but for me this encounter was Heaven sent and I will remember this conversation until that Glorious day when Jesus returns  in all of His Glory.

The Atheists War on Christianity in America

‘Celebrate Our Godless Constitution’:

Guess Who’s Behind This July 4 Ad Decrying the ‘Myth’ That the U.S. Was Founded on Christianity

The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist activist non-profit, is behind a new full-page newspaper ad that decries the notion that America was founded on Christianity and the Bible. A portion of the contentious text reads, “Celebrate Our Godless Constitution,” and it features the faces and quotes from some of the nation’s most prominent Founding Fathers.

The effort, according to the FFRF’s website, praises the U.S.’s “godless constitution.” Created in response to craft store chain Hobby Lobby’s advertisements about faith in America (the company has posted these in newspapers across the U.S. since 2008), the FFRF ads will certainly spark some controversy.

“The ads quote U.S. Founders and Framers on their strong views against religion in government, and often critical views on religion in general,” reads a press release announcing the atheist effort. “The ad features two revolutionaries and Deists, Thomas Paine and Benjamin Franklin, and the first four presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.”

People reading the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times, Chicago Tribune and other daily newspapers across America will likely be surprised when they are greeted with today’s atheist-laden history lesson.

“The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion,” reads one of the quotes (a portion of a treaty that was once signed by John Adams).

“Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other course,” another statement from Washington reads.

And these are just two of the many (see the entire FFRF godless ad).

The Hobby Lobby ad which has sparked the FFRF response takes the opposite stand. Titled “In God We Trust,” it provides quotes showing the Founders’ pro-faith views. Among the quotes and information shared in the text are statements from President George Washington and Patrick Henry.

“It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor,” the nation’s first president is quoted as saying (this comes from from a Thanksgiving proclamation in 1789).

Once again, one side is doubling down in claiming that America’s Christian roots are manufactured, while the other believes wholeheartedly in the Bible’s role in shaping the U.S.

Just how Green was that Older Generation?

535845_618601594835542_1802133496_n

How Wasteful the Older Generation Was !

In the line at the store, the cashier told the older woman that she should bring her own grocery bag because plastic bags weren’t good for the environment. The woman apologized to him
and explained,

“We didn’t have the green thing back in my day!

The clerk responded, “That’s our problem today. The former generation did not care enough to save our environment.”

He was right, that generation didn’t have the green thing in its day.

Back then, they returned their milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were Recycled.

But they didn’t have the green thing back in that customer’s day. In her day, they walked up stairs, because they didn’t have an escalator in every store and office building.

They walked to the grocery store and didn’t climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time they had to go two blocks.

But she was right. They didn’t have the green thing in her day. Back then, they washed the baby’s diapers because they didn’t have the throw-away kind. They dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts – wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

But that old lady is right, they didn’t have the green thing back in her day.

Back then, they had one TV, or radio, in the house – not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a hankerchief, not a screen the size of the state of Montana. In the kitchen, they blended and stirred by hand because they didn’t have electric machines to do everything for you. When they packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, they used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.

Back then, they didn’t fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. They used a push mower that ran on human power. They exercised by working so they didn’t need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

But she’s right, they didn’t have the green thing back then.

They drank from a fountain when they were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time they had a drink of water.

They refilled their writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and they replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

But, they didn’t have the green thing back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or rode the school bus instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service.

They had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances.

And they didn’t need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.

But isn’t it sad the current generation laments how wasteful the old folks were just because they didn’t have the green thing back then?

Shroud of Turin not a Forgery: Using Digital Imagery Science gives us a look at the face of Jesus

Good-Friday-Wallpaper-23

New research suggests Shroud of Turin dates to Jesus’ era

Tests conducted on the Shroud of Turin by researchers at Italy’s University of Padua indicate that the linen sheet believed by some to be Christ‘s burial cloth dates back to Jesus’ lifetime.

The 14-foot-long cloth bearing the image of a man with wounds similar to those suffered by Christ was analyzed by university scientists using infrared light, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The research linking the shroud to between 280 B.C. and A.D. 220 was published in book by Giulio Fanti, a professor at Padua University, and journalist Saverio Gaeta.

Fanti, a Catholic, told the Telegraph that the results were based on 15 years of research on fibers taken from the cloth, which were subjected to radiation intensity tests.

Fanti told the paper he rejects the conclusion of carbon dating tests conducted in 1988 that bolstered the theory the shroud was made in the 13th or 14th century in a medieval forgery.

Those results, Fanti said, were “false” because of laboratory contamination, the Telegraph reported.

The Vatican has never confirmed the authenticity of the shroud, but a Vatican researcher in 2009 said that faint writing on the cloth proves it was used to wrap Jesus’ body after his crucifixion.

The cloth is presently housed in Turin Cathedral in northwest Italy.
