We should contact ALL the Advertisers on all these shows as a collective, there is big power in Numbers and warn them to drop the stated news and TV networks, and their prospective talking heads, or we will drop them, it is the Advertisers who will listen, the networks will never pass on this information to those who advertise with them, we Must bypass the Networks and deal strictly with the Advertisers and sponsors.

It is interesting that I too have finally reached my boiling point and have to determine the best path to put some teeth into turning this thing around. Me and many of my friends have been recently discussing ways in which we can truly organize and take action and not just talk about it. There will be more to come from us and we certainly appreciate what you are doing. More has to be DONE and it will. Ultimately all of these movements have to come together to form one union.

Communist infiltration? Folks, there is no communist infiltration in our government. Yes, some of our programs are socialist but I’ll bet some on this site benefit from that socialism. Anybody here collect Social Security or use Medicare? Yep, thats socialism. And now the rich want to take those programs away too. The decline in the standard of living in this country is not because of Muslims or atheists or communists or hippies or illigal immigrants. It is the disintegration of the solidarity of working people across this great land. We are being pitted against one another, divided over inconsequential nonsense. Corporations are flourishing, the redistrubution of wealth has been going on for more than 30 years except it’s not going to welfare queens, it’s going to the top 1%. There are many in this nation that are drawn to the ideologies of communism, socialism, capitalism; pick your flavor. The most offensive ism is statism. Those that wave a flag and worship the institution of state. Those that declare that they are patriots and yet damn others for their views and right to choose their own way of life. This nation once was a beacon to those that wish to be LIBERATED. Few truely understand what the term LIBERTY means. Before you damn your fellow countrymen, be they communist, anarchist, capitalist, red, black, white, old, young, etc..think first, who will protect your right to live as you choose. The state and it’s worshipers are tyrannts and wish only to serve themselves at the cost of your liberty. Know the enemy, enlighten your neighbors, even those that don’t share your ideology. If we be liberated we must be liberated together.
I notice you say you are all about freedom of speech but feel free to censor all our comments. Do you see a contradiction there?

Presuming to know anything one does not actually know…is blindness. Openly marking anything as important and true…is leading.
The ancient proverb paraphrased: If the blind lead the blind they will all likely fall into a pit.
What if the pit started to look something like civil war, or sufficient destabilization to invite outside invasions.
We need open and highly intelligent minds working on solutions…not bickering.
Having said that I will offer my feeling on the specter of class warfare. Every American should be held to the standard of an American. That is, Americans have always been volunteer participants in a mass union, and as part of our pledge to our flag we commit ourselves and our resources to uphold the spirit and the letter of the Constitution an the Declaration of independence. Anyone who would take away the rightful holdings or intellectual properties of a brother in the Union is expressing against the letter. On the same token anyone who has gained great wealth but has no charity for his weaker brother has offended the spirit. Anyone who interferes with free speech has offended the letter. Anyone who purposely spreads discord and hatred has offended the spirit. Everything is black and white yet nothing is black and white. Freedom is a simple concept but people are complicated creatures. Finally Mr. Scrooge was good before and after his epiphany. All things move through seasons and knowledge is emergent. Don’t know much but I know that we will all be faced with many important decisions in the future…I hope that in the end there is more unity than division and more love than dissension.

I have looked around a bit and had a few observations. First of all, when you mention conservative, liberal and independent, you have a link to a conservative website and a link to the Wikipedia definition of independent, but you have no link associated with liberal.
I also took a look at the posting on the failed government agencies. Is that your original posting? It wasn’t clear, and I might have missed the citation. Sorry if I did. I would like to make a few comments about that set of “facts.”
The U.S. Postal Service is being destroyed by the Republicans who want to privatize the profitable parts and abandon the rest leaving a lot of rural America without postal delivery. If the Republicans would undo the damage they did when they required the post office to fund retirement for 75 years in the future, it would be just fine. Also, the post office is required to deliver to rural America (Remember Andy of Mayberry, RFD?). That is part of the strength of this country.
There is nothing wrong with Social Security that returning the more than $2TRILLION dollars that has been stolen from it wouldn’t fix. I’ll tell you what. Get Congress to pay that back and, if it is still in trouble, then feel free to increase taxes and reduce the payout.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are victims of the greed of the banks and some really questionable legislation. They aren’t entirely to blame. To isolate them while ignoring the rest of the players is disingenuous to say the least.
If the Republicans hadn’t gutted most if not all of the programs that were supposed to combat poverty, there might have been more success. Programs were never given a chance. They needed time – at least 20 uninterrupted years – but they were pecked at from the beginning.
Medicaid isn’t doing that badly. Medicare would be doing a lot better if selfish, greedy Republicans hadn’t done their buddies a great favor by outlawing Medicare’s ability to negotiate drug prices for their friends in the drug companies. That, alone, would save billions of dollars every year.
I noticed some comments on Soros and the Koch brothers. The answer to disagreement on this topic is simple. ELIMINATE ALL GROUP CONTRIBUTIONS and severely restrict individual contributions so that at least half of the population is able to make the maximum contribution without breaking the bank. That way, money will shut up, and people can make their voices heard. Corporations are NOT people. People are people.
I think this is more than enough for a post. I really appreciate the attitude toward staying on topic. Sometimes, people have a different opinion about what the real topic is.
I have not cursed or cussed. I have not made any personal attacks. I wonder if you will live up to your word. I can promise you, I won’t go away. I am tired of seeing the truth distorted. You have to take the good with the bad. Bending everything to suit a bias is not an honest way to win an argument.

Thanks for stopping by Randee and being so polite. First of all, the Post Office was privatized because it was a failed Government Agency. It is still failing today because of Union Influence and affirmative action (another government program).
Social Security was raided by a Democrat Liberal President Lyndon Johnson to fund the Vietnam war.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were victims of the Chris/Dodd bill. Liberal Democrats again, eh?!
The war on poverty failed because liberal democrats giving hand outs to the poor only served to create more poor. Teach a man to fish theory.

I’ll make a deal with you – why don’t you list your own sources and not all right-wing ones, either. The truth is, both of us were expressing partial “common knowledge” meaning neither of us provided sources. All of these agencies have experienced successes and failures. That sounds pretty normal and human.
The difference between us is that I don’t agree with Reagan that the government is the source of all problems, and you do. The ultimate truth is, and there is no arguing this, WE are the government. Whether you prefer a weak/strong central government, a large/small federal government or whatever, WE are still the government. If we don’t like something, WE need to fix/change it.
I believe the Internet is going to be a catalyst for change, but we need to use original sources – not other people’s articles – so I guess I’ve got my work cut out for me.
I appreciate your not tossing me out on my you-know-what. I tried to get involved in the Tea Party Community site. They kicked me off in two days for posts like this. I found them to be violent and hateful, so it was no great loss. I know that not all conservatives are like that although I will not go as far as to say that some of my best friends are conservatives.
