A small word but a powerful one when it comes to your privacy.

What gives the federal government the right to impose itself upon you if you have done no wrong ?

Many people take the opinion that they haven’t broken any law.

Many say that they have committed no crimes.

With today’s government,…can you be sure ?

My response to those comments are,…by who’s rules?

Children that are suspended from school for forming a gun with their hand.

Or for eating a pop tart into the shape of a gun.

All the while, teachers, men and women, are engaging in sex with the students that they are paid to educate by the parents that have no choice but to put their children in their care.

All of this is happening amidst the desecration of the Christian voice striving to speak out against it.

The gay community, the abomination, continues to grab the headlines on our news channels.

The LGBT has infested our Military, and yet we allow it to proceed.

America, what have we become ?

Are you willing to accept this ?

Aren’t you willing to take a stand and say NO MORE !

Take heed my friends, for the task that we must undergo is at hand.

Go out there and VOTE for OUR Country, and Her survival in the choppy seas that She is immersed in.

Right now, the rudder is in the wrong hands.

We need to wrench those hands off the rudder and put this ship back on course.

Back on the course that the Constitution set.

Ukraine to pull troops from Crimea as Obama rules out military action

Ukraine prepared to pull its troops and their families from Crimea on Wednesday as President Obama ruled out use of the U.S. military in the West’s dispute with Russia over its seizure of the peninsula.

National Security and Defense Council secretary Andriy Parubiy said that Ukraine will seek U.N. support to turn Crimea into a demilitarized zone as it prepared to relocate as many as 25,000 soldiers and their families to the Ukrainian mainland.

“We are working out a plan of action so that we can transfer not just servicemen, but first of all, members of their family who are in Crimea, quickly and effectively to mainland Ukraine,” Parubiy said.

Ukraine has been powerless to prevent Russian troops from taking control of Crimea, which President Vladimir Putin formally annexed by treaty Tuesday. Crimea’s absorption came after a hastily organized referendum in which the population voted in favor of seceding from Ukraine and joining Russia.

President Obama, who has threatened Moscow with additional sanctions, said Wednesday that nobody wants to “trigger an actual war with Russia” because that would serve no one’s interests.

“We are not going to be getting into a military excursion in Ukraine,” Obama told KNSD-TV. “What we are going to do is mobilize all of our diplomatic resources to make sure that we’ve got a strong international coalition that sends a clear message.”

Russia, which has shown no signs of flinching in the dispute, expects the legal process required to make Crimea part of Russia to be completed this week, according to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Reuters reported Thursday.

Peace through Strength

We have all seen in recent years how this President has so weakened America’s economic and military strength that we are no longer a deterrent to aggression on the world stage.

Our enemies know this and are taking full advantage of this weak and ineffective president.

Mr. President, you have shamed America’s Greatness and we in turn are ashamed of you.

I admire the men and the women that are willing to serve in the

U.S Armed Forces

They are Patriots, heroes, and people that should be looked up to as to their integrity and their courage to enlist in the first place.

Sadly, many among us have no desire to defend this fine Country, nor are willing to learn how to do so.

They would rather sit back and reap the benefits of the ones that were brave enough to enlist.

So,…. are they Heroes ?

Ask them,…. they will say no, just doing my job.

Many times that job resulted in the loss of limbs due to the cowards that would not expose themselves, rather they hid behind women and children, melting into the community, and our troops could not define them as the enemy.

Women and children being used as walking bombs.

The same thing was going on in Vietnam.

Our soldiers were hard pressed to know who the enemy looked like.

These are the tactics of cowards.

These are the tactics of people that are afraid of openly confronting a great military.

These are the tactics used by people that cannot play a fair game, hence they cheat.

This is very similar to what we have developing in the US government, or, for that matter, is in place now.

The philosophy is the same.

Hide the enemy.

I did not want to take the Patriotic spirit away from this post.

We are America

The finest military is on display everyday, all over the world.

Let us never forget the doctors and the nurses that tended to the wounded.

Let us never forget the paramedics that transport them from the field to the hospitals.

Let us never forget the valiant warriors that this Country has produced.

We should be very proud

No matter what happens in the future, we are Americans and we are the voice of Freedom throughout the world.

No one can ever take that away from US.

I would also add that the parents of these brave individuals are to be commended for their courage to feel confident enough in their children to allow them to go off on an adventure that will change them forever,

Mr. AFVet, I’d be your Wing Man any day!

Hagel calls for shrinking Army to pre-WWII size

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel called Monday for shrinking the U.S. Army to its smallest size in decades, along with other cuts, drawing criticism that the drastic changes will hurt U.S. security.

Hagel announced his Pentagon budget priorities Monday afternoon. The Army had already been preparing to shrink to 490,000 active-duty members from a wartime peak of 570,000. Hagel is proposing to cut it further to between 440,000 and 450,000.

That would make it the smallest since just before the U.S. entered World War II.

China and Russia Embark on Military Buildup as America Stands Down

Return of the former Soviet Union

and Vladimir Putin

From the Washington Post:

By , Published: February 20

MOSCOW – Less than two weeks before presidential elections, Vladimir Putin laid out his ambitious plans Monday for modernizing and strengthening Russia’s defense forces over the next decade, in the face of a threatening world and a powerful United States.“For Russia to feel secure and for our partners to listen carefully to what our country has to say,” he wrote, Moscow must spend about $775 billion by 2022 for new armaments and a more professional military.
Two weeks before Russia holds its presidential election, hundreds of motorists circled central Moscow to demand that Prime Minister Vladimir Putin allow free elections. Saturday night, pro-Putin motorists hit the streets. (Feb. 19)

“We see zones of instability and artificially maintained, managed chaos emerging,” the current Russian prime minister wrote in a lengthy article that was one of a series of presidential campaign platforms. “Furthermore, we see how some are purposefully provoking such conflicts in the immediate vicinity of Russia’s borders.”

He said Russia’s military response to the U.S. missile defense shield would be “effective and asymmetrical.”

The promise to increase defense spending and modernize Russia’s forces is not new. On Monday, Putin said Russia will put more than 400 intercontinental ballistic missiles into service over the next 10 years, as well as eight nuclear submarines, 600 advanced aircraft, 2,300 tanks and an array of other equipment. Analysts, on the left and right, were skeptical that he can accomplish such a buildup.

China Boosts Military Spending

China has announced that it will boost military spending by 11.2 per cent this year, in a move likely to cause concern about Beijing’srapid military build-up and stoke regional tensions. The increase was announced on Sunday by Li Zhaoxing, the spokesman for China’s parliament, and will bring official spending on the People’s Liberation Armyto 670.3bn yuan ($110bn) for 2012, after a 12.7 per cent increase last year and a nearly consistent series of double-digit rises across two decades.
“China’s limited military power is for the sake of preserving national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity- Li Zhaoxing,
Chinese parliamentary spokesman

China’s public budget is widely thought by foreign experts to undercount its real spending on military modernisation, which has unnerved Asian neighbours and drawn repeated calls from the US for China to share more about its intentions.

Li said the world has nothing to fear, and the money spent on the PLA paled in comparison with the Pentagon’s outlays.

“You can see that we have 1.3 billion people with a large land areas and a long coastline, but our outlays on defence are quite low compared to other major countries,” Li said before the annual session of the National People’s Congress, the Communist Party-controlled legislature that will approve the budget.

“China’s limited military power is for the sake of preserving national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity,” said Li, a former foreign minister. “Fundamentally, it constitutes no threat to other countries.”

Budget ‘tops $100bn’

Asian neighbours have been nervous about Beijing’s expanding military, and this latest double-digit rise could reinforce worries in Japan, India and Southeast Asian nations.

“China’s military capabilities plus its creeping assertiveness, its new kind of aggressiveness in the region, I think those are causes for concern,” Richard Bitzinger, a military expert and senior fellow at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, told Al Jazeera.

“I think what’s most significant, for me at least, is the fact that they finally topped $100bn in defence spending.”

China’s growing military capability has been a growing concern among Asian countries in recent years

Bitzinger said the ”ultimate cumulative effect is that it has basically propelled the Chinese into the second largest defence spender in the world, behind the United States”.

Obama has sought to reassure Asian allies that the US will stay a key player in the area, and the Pentagon has said it will “rebalance toward the Asia-Pacific region”.

“China shares its land border with 14 countries; it used to make sense that a country in such a position maintains strong conventional forces,” said Kazuya Sakamoto, a professor at Osaka University in Japan who researches international security.

“But in this nuclear age, it does not really make sense China, a nuclear-armed country, continues to build up its military at such a pace.”

Obama’s proposed budget for the fiscal year of 2013 calls for a Pentagon base budget of $525.4bn, about $5.1bn less than approved for 2012.

China’s defence spending was 1.28 per cent of its gross domestic product in 2011, while the US and Britain both devoted more then two per cent of their economies to their military forces, Li, the Chinese parliament spokesman, said.

Japan and China have disputed over islands each claims in the East China Sea; Vietnam, the Philippines and other nations have challenged Beijing over claims to swathes of the South China Sea that could be rich in oil and gas.

We must Endeavor to Persevere for our Freedom

We must endeavor to persevere

Kites rise highest against the wind, not with it.
-Winston Churchill.

Never say die, ever.
Britain has always been our ally, they still have troops in Afghanistan.

What Churchill said is true.
What he meant was sometimes it takes an opposing wind to tell you which direction the wind is coming from and which direction you should be going.
I think we all know that by now.

If Churchill were alive today, I doubt whether his troops would be involved in Afghanistan.
When he was alive the Germans were attacking his Country relentlessly, yet he never allowed the Brits to give up.

Vera Lynn sang a song about the White Cliffs of Dover, praying for peace.

I have flown kites in my day, and Churchill was right.
The wind has to be at your back in order to make the kite fly and you have to be aware if the wind changes in order to keep the kite aloft.

Let’s keep the wind at our backs and be aware of the changes before it’s too late.

The spirit of a nation is embedded in us.
It is our responsibility to make sure that our youth have the desire to keep this Republic alive and healthy.

Oh by the way, here’s a song that you might enjoy.

The young lady above did not have to choose that song to sing, or to emulate Vera Lynn,…but she did.
Patriotism,….. how sweet the sound.

We The People of the United States…by AFVet

BurkeEdmund Burke once stated that….

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Patriots abound in this Great Country.

Men and Women that have served Her in the Armed Forces and those that are passionate in keeping Her and the principles of our Constitution as a guide and a beacon for Freedom.

Ronald Reagan said She was the “Shining City on the Hill.”

Yes She is and will continue to be as long as the Patriots mount an opposition to the nefarious undertakings the present administration deems necessary to force Her into a socialistic society.

Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard.

Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen.

Veterans of foreign wars.

Wars that will never be forgotten.

Recent wars that still plague US with the devastation that our mighty warriors have had to sustain, and live with for the rest of their lives along with their families and loved ones.

The men and the women that volunteered to serve this Country are the true Heroes of today, and they are going to be the ones that take Her back from the cliff that She is perched upon.

The men and the women that were true Patriots did not shy away from their duty.

The men and the women that are true Patriots have a challenge ahead of them.

Let’s meet the challenge head on and see what true Patriotism can accomplish.

You may be very surprised what a concerted effort can do.
It is beginning.

Those Wacko Gun Control Activists are at it again!

486114_600661426628077_925954504_n

It is common knowledge that the last two attempts at mass murder were committed using Shot Guns (most likely on the advice of Joe Biden) instead of the Semi-Automatic AR15 or AK47 large capacity clip weapons used in the past.  The gun control advocates have labeled these weapons as ‘Assault Rifles’ but just so you know, they are not.

Our government has classified an ‘Assault Rifle‘ as one that fires in ‘Fully Automatic‘ mode similar to a Machine Gun.

Well, just when you think you’ve heard it all, Fox News comes up with this latest report!

gun-control-giffords-kelly

Gun control advocates vow to take fight into 2014 elections, spend millions

Gun control advocates acknowledged Sunday that they were disappointed with efforts this year to tighten firearm laws across the country but vowed to continue their fight, including spending millions on their candidates in next year’s elections.

Their comments came one year after the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre in which 20 students and six adults were fatally shot in Newtown, Conn. However, Congress failed to pass no major gun-control legislation in the aftermath.

“We get disappointed,” said Mark Kelly, who co-founded the gun-control group Americans for Responsible Solutions with wife Gabrielle Giffords, the former congresswoman who was shot on the campaign trail in 2011.

The retired astronaut and Navy captain told “Fox News Sunday” the defeat of the so-called, bipartisan Manchin-Toomey Senate gun bill was “not a good day” but that his group plans to spend $25 million in the next election cycle.

Though the focus of America’s gun debate appears to be shifting from weapons bans to keeping firearms away from criminals and the mentally ill, gun-rights advocates seem steadfast in their efforts to limit background checks and repeal laws that prevent people from defending themselves against attackers.

“There’s no victory until we get guns in school and elsewhere to protect ourselves,” Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, told Fox News. “The legislation that is on the books is lethal … and we simply have to get rid of them.”

Kelly said that anti-gun groups were able to spend about as much as pro-gun groups in the recent Virginia gubernatorial race in which Democrat Terry McAuliffe defeated Republican Ken Cuccinelli — a sign that the balance of power is shifting after his side got outspent in the Capitol Hill gun debates.

Carlee Soto, whose sister was killed in the Dec. 14, 2012, attack at Sandy Hook elementary, in Newtown, Conn., also acknowledged the effort to tighten gun laws has been difficult, but she remains optimistic.

“Some days I don’t want to speak in front of the camera … but my sister can’t do that,” she told Fox News. “I believe we will have sensible gun laws in the future.”

DECEMBER 7th 1941….. Inspires a letter to Obama

95-yr-old-vet-calls-out-obama

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year.  People meeting me for the first time don’t believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos’n Mate.  Now I live in a “rest home” located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can’t figure out what country you are the president of.
You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:
” We’re no longer a Christian nation
” America is arrogant”

– (Your wife even
announced to the world,” America is mean-
spirited. ” Please tell her to try preaching
that nonsense to 23 generations of our
war dead buried all over the globe who
died for no other reason than to free a
whole lot of strangers from tyranny and
hopelessness.)

I’d say shame on the both of you, but I don’t think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you.

To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said,” America hasn’t lived up to her ideals.”

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British?  Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War?  I hope you didn’t mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don’t think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination.  You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American.  If you don’t, I’ll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue .  You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don’t want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight?  You don’t mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don’t want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing.  I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son.  Do your job.  When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him.  But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out.  The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you’re thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.
You’re not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy.  That’s not our greatest threat.  Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.
And I sure as hell don’t want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle…

Sincerely,
Harold B. Estes

Is it any wonder we call them
